Emergency Response for COVID-19 in Cox’s Bazar
The project will support displaced people in the Rohingya camps, and the affected host community, in light of the COVID-19 situation. Support through providing awareness sessions, hygiene kits which will include masks, globes, caps, soaps, sanitizer, towels, and buckets; installation of hand washing points, disinfecting households and other infrastructures, and cash grants. The project is designed to reduce and minimize the high risks and severe consequences of COVID-19 for the vulnerable populations in the area. Women headed, disabled, and households with family size 8-11 members will be given priority for family hygiene kit package distribution in the camps. And for multi-purpose cash grants women headed families will be given highest priority in the host communities.
