This project will ensure a reliable source of clean water year round in these locations, which will be maintained and successfully used through community engagement, development of Water Management Committees, training around technical usage, governance approach, and hygiene, as well as regular monitoring by the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Sanitation and Health to ensure sustainability and impact. The water is from a dam in the mountains. The storage capacity of the tank is too small for the large community and at night the tank fills and overflows, wasting precious water.
